Sofie Laguna, Sharon Postlewhite and Shivaun Plozza discuss tales by and for those that will inherit this mess. What inspires the enthusiasm of the ones approaching having to deal with the future? Andrea Rowe will draw them out.

Sofie Laguna's young peoples' books are published world-wide. After writing fiction for adults, she has returned to children's books: the novels, The Song of Lewis Carmichael and The Glow, and the picturebooks, The house on Pleasant Street and A friend for Ruby, all illustrated by her husband Marc McBride.

Sharon Postlewhite grew up in the UK, before relocating to Australia in 2008. Fantasy literature and history have influenced her writing from an early age. Archaeology has majored in Sharon's life and her love of ancient culture and mythology shows in her storytelling. Sharon lives with her family in country Victoria.

Shivaun Plozza writes books for children and young adults. Her debut Frankie won the Davitt Award for YA and was shortlisted for the CBCAs. Tin Heart earned two starred reviews and was nominated to the ALA’s Best Fiction for YA list. The Worst Perfect Moment is forthcoming in May 2024.

Andrea Rowe is an award-winning, best-selling children’s author of Jetty Jumping, Sunday Skating and In the Rockpool  (Hardie Grant). Jetty Jumping won the 2022 CBCA Picture Book of the Year and 2023 Australian Speech Pathology Book of the Year. Andrea has been awarded the 2024 May Gibbs Literature Trust Fellowship.
